Two Romanian AI-focused startups pitched at AI Bootcamp 2023 in London

Selected from applicants across Europe and Israel, the Romanian companies, The CoRD.ai and Footprints AI, were part of an international cohort of 12. Their participation was made possible by r10ventures and with the assistance of Endeavor Romania.

Presenting before an audience of investors and corporate partners including Amazon, Antler, Deloitte Venturesand eBay. The event was hosted by Amazon Web Services.

The CoRD.ai is a SaaS platform dedicated to optimising the efficiency of remote teams by analysing their interactions in online meetings offering guidelines on effective collaboration and interaction.

Footprints AI leverages AI technology to revolutionise how retailers monetise omnichannel customer data. It utilises indoor positioning, predictive models, and omnichannel targeting to understand, predict, and influence the complete path to purchase of shoppers in the physical retail environment.

The Cohort Showcase follows an extensive online programme including sessions on the regulatory environment for AI in the UK, addressing corporate challenges and approaching investors. These featured contributions from Ada Lovelace Institute, British Telecom, the Department for Business and Trade, Google DeepMind, Innovate UK, Kantar and Snowflake amongst others. The growth journey and remarkable success story of the Romanian startup, Druid AI, was also featured.

In addition to the Investor Showcase the two Romanian startups participated in meetings with Amazon Web Services, Citi Innovation Labs, CMS Cameron McKenna, Intel and Stripe. The group also visited Level 39, the tech hub at Sir George Iacobescu’s Canary Wharf.
