Impact fintech’19 in Katowice (Poland) - future of finance in CEE

On December 4-5 Katowice will host Impact fintech’19, the largest Polish event on the future of financial services in the CEE region. It will bring together key players from the worlds of banking, finance and the digital economy.

The main theme of this year’s edition will be Digital trust as it relates to the use of data, identification of digital identities, open banking, cybersecurity, e-commerce and other elements of business models that support the building of  trust.

Appearing on the stages of Impact fintech’19 will be leaders in business, science and public administration as well as the people leading startups that are transforming current social norms and business models.

Discussions will focus on subjects related to 8 thematic tracks - banking transformation – banking transformation, payments & future commerce, alternative lending & finance, insurtech, regulation & regtech, tech entrepreneurship & investment, cloud solutions, emerging tech & security and sustainable fintech.

AI for banking

Open banking, the emergence of new technologies and increasing consumer needs - these are a few of the main challenges facing the banking industry. How can they be effectively faced?

The most obvious answer to these questions is using automation and artificial intelligence. The fintech revolution is becoming a fact and it us - the consumers - that are being influenced by it directly. A 40 billion dollars industry

In 2018 the value if venture-capital investments in the FinTech industry doubled the figure from 2017 and amounted to nearly 40 billion dollars. When taking into account the total value of the capital invested in this industry, including corporate funds and sources, that figure is expected to top 100 billion dollars. Microsoft has invested a billion dollars into Open AI - a company founded by Elon Musk - and Google acquired Looker for 2.6 million dollars.
