BoldMind Capital Partners announces the launch of BoldMind Fund I, with €60 million in capital to be invested in companies from Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia.
The four founding partners of BoldMind Capital are Dragoș Roșca, Claudiu Negrișan, Florina Stancu and Dan Nicolaescu.
BoldMind Capital will invest up to €10 million per transaction, in private companies from various economic sectors, including business services, specialized retail, health and wellness products & services, FMCG production, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, packaging, food products, transport and logistics.
The largest commitment, amounting to €20 million, is financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, with financial support from the Romanian Government through the Recovery Equity Fund (REF). The program is managed by the European Investment Fund (EIF).
"Each of the four BoldMind Capital partners has over 20 years of experience in investment and business management. Since 2004, we have invested in, managed, and developed 18 companies alongside their founders and management teams. Many of these companies have become market leaders in their fields, creating success stories about the potential of Romanian entrepreneurship. Optiblu (now Luxottica), 2Performant, Smartree, Patiline, Bento, Smartemp, FMS (now Business Lease), Oxigen (now Linde Gas), and Puls Media (now MedicHub) are just a few examples. Our goal is to identify and invest in founders and management teams with vision, competence, and courage who share our desire for performance and ethical business principles. We support them with financial capital, professional expertise, and our business network to accelerate their growth and achieve their strategic goals," said Dragoș Roșca, Managing Partner at BoldMind Capital Partners.
The fund focuses on a rigorous selection of companies in which it invests and takes an active role in their development, leveraging the team’s experience to maximize growth opportunities while managing the risks specific to small and medium companies and, respectively, the markets in which those companies operate.
