VentureConnect, the Pitch Competition and Investors’ Forum, brings together key digital health investors and innovators.
It gathers every year, as part of the HIMSS Health 2.0 European Conference, the most influential investors active or interested in the growing digital health sector. It’s the perfect place for like-minded investors to meet and exchange insights on what is happening in the space and which start-ups are the most promising to invest in. VentureConnect is free to attend for investors.
10 European innovative companies looking for funding will be carefully selected to pitch their solution and will receive feedback from a jury of the most influential digital health investors in Europe.
Presenters will introduce their solution in a 4-minute pitch, followed by 6 minutes of Q&A. 2 winners will be announced in 2 categories:
- ”Shoot”, for companies pitching their first investment
- ”Bloom”, for companies looking for follow up investment
Startups that wish to apply to pitch their solution on the VentureConnect stage need to apply by April 10th. Applications are free.
The finalists will be announced on April 24th, after being reviewed by an independent panel of investors and digital health experts. The selection criteria are based on unique value proposition, competitive advantage and potential for growth.
The 2 winners will benefit from international promotion and visibility and several other prizes: a slot to demo at future HIMSS Health 2.0 events, one year of HIMSS membership, an interview featured on HIMSS TV, exposure via a HIMSS news announcement and a MobiHealthNews article. In addition, a trophy worth tweeting about will be offered!
Friedrich Lämmel, CEO & Founder of Thryve, was the winner of the ‘’Bloom’’ category in 2019: ”Winning the prestigious EC2VC championship ignited visibility at scale for Thryve. We got approached from VCs all over Europe, both directly on site, but also in the aftermath and we also tripled our customer numbers.”
Wojciech Radomski, CEO & Founder of StethoMe, won the ”Shoot” category: “StethoMe got access to the key stakeholders and mass media. We have found potential business partners who perfectly match our target market and requirements”.
