”This raise isn’t just a milestone, it’s a signal that the way CPG brands execute at retail is fundamentally changing. With AI at the core and synthetic data as the engine, we’re making real-time, SKU-level visibility possible at scale—without the slow audits or fragile tools that fall apart in real-world stores. Our platform integrates seamlessly into existing field workflows and sales force automation tools, turning everyday shelf photos into instant, actionable insights”, says Paul Pop, one of the startup’s cofounders, in a press release about the newest investment received by the startup.

Neurolabs has secured a $7.8 million Series A funding round led by Nauta, with participation from LAUNCHub, Lunar Ventures, and Techstart, bringing total investment to over 12 million dollars for the startup.

Neurolabs creates “general-purpose” models that understand any retail scene by integrating advanced datasets and state-of-the-art models. These models excel in critical Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) tasks like identifying Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), recognising promotions, and ensuring compliance.

“We started Neurolabs to solve a problem we kept seeing in the wild. Missed products. Hours of manual checks. Days of delay before action. So we built something different, Visual AI that works where it matters: on the ground, in stores, with imperfect lighting and ever-changing SKUs. Today, some of the world’s leading CPG brands are using our tech to slash field costs, cut onboarding times, and unlock shelf-to-storeroom visibility in seconds. AI can’t just be powerful, it has to be practical. That’s the difference Neurolabs makes in the field. This new funding allows us to double down on what matters most: growing our engineering team, expanding across the UK, Europe, and the US, and building the infrastructure CPG brands need to stay ahead”, Paul Pop concluded.

Founded in 2018 by Paul Pop (CEO), Patric Fulop (CTO, formerly of J.P. Morgan and Schlumberger), and Remus Pop (CRO, formerly of Bank of America Merrill Lynch), Neurolabs’ founding team brings deep expertise in AI, computer science, mathematics, and machine learning. The trio met at the University of Edinburgh and has spent over a decade working together, combining academic research with industry experience to tackle the limitations of traditional image recognition in retail.
