The Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics within Bucharest University of Economic Studies has a long history with SAS. The Master’s program has a 12 years tradition, since 2009, SAS related courses have been taught for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Starting December 2020, the partnership between the two organizations has a new dimension: the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics obtained the prestigious SAS Academic Specializations and runs a new, state-of-the-art curriculum for the Databases - support for business Master’s program, focused on Advanced Data Analytics and AI to help students gain a competitive advantage in the job market.
’’In the context of the 4th industrial revolution, our Faculty has the main purpose to be relevant for our students; therefore, with the support of SAS, we will offer a state-of-the-art Masters Programme infused with Artificial Intelligence elements and Analytics that will prepare our graduates to grow their Data Science skills to address current market needs’’, said Bogdan Iftimie, Prof. Phd. Vice Dean at Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics.
During the 4 semesters, students will learn intensively Advanced Analytics technologies, join internship programs in Data Science and gain international SAS certifications, allowing them to build a strong knowledge base for joining top companies after graduation.
Courses as SAS Programming, Python integration with commercial software, Machine Learning, data mining, visual analytics, real industry cases and scenarios, free access to software and much more create the premises for the students to get in-depth learning and hands on experience in advanced analytics.
