Vatis Tech

The Romanian startup Vatis Tech has completed a new round of funding worth 650,000 EUR, reaching a total investment of 850,000 EUR in 15 months, a company whose revenues increased 10 times in 2022 compared to 2021, and the growth rate for the last quarter being over 30%. The plans are to expand to the markets of Germany, Spain or France.

The Romanian startup received $1.5 million in investment at the beginning of 2021, and has so far attracted more than $2.2 million in total funding from business angels and investment funds.

Moreover, Questo was awarded by Booking, collaborated with the Alba Iulia town hall in Romania and received various awards.

Questo has exploration games in over 200 cities around the world, from New York to Govora Baths in Romania, romantic themes where travellers can explore Paris, or themes where they can hunt the Illuminati around Rome.

Filmchain

"They're bringing blockchain technology to the world of film and it's gaining traction."

Filmchain is a London-based company founded by two Romanians that manages revenues from the international film and television industry.

Cyscale

"A startup from Cluj that has had a good evolution in recent years and operates on a market that is growing rapidly."

Cyscale, a developer of cloud application and data protection software solutions, secured 3 million EUR in funding in May 2022, with the investment round used to grow the team, develop the product and the company internationally, in particular in the UK market.

This is Cyscale's third round of funding in just three years since its launch. The startup started its acceleration process with Techcelerator, attracting support and successive rounds of funding: 100,000 EUR in 2019 from GapMinder and 350,000 EUR through SeedBlink in 2021 (GapMinder being the lead investor). Moreover, among Techcelerator alumni, Cyscale is the startup with the most extensive validation brought in less than three years by international investors to an accelerated startup.
