The Scale Match program is targeting companies that develop HealthTech, Fintech solutions, companies that integrate artificial intelligence, and developers of SaaS solutions that are in the market-ready stage. To be eligible, startups must have internationally scalable solutions, a sustainable business model and an ambitious team.
The matching is done considering the industries included in the investment strategy of the VC partners invited, the maturity of the products, the opportunities identified (such as the potential to organize a pilot within a partner corporation, etc.), the startups’ investment and partnership objectives and, indeed, the availability of the two parties invited.
The first edition attracted 85 applications from 23 countries, 19 investors and corporations from 11 countries, 130 matchmaking meetings within 2 days of connections, partnerships and "open doors" for investments. 35 startups were selected.
Scale Match applications will be submitted on the F6S platform, same as in the first edition, anytime. The evaluation and the selection of 35-40 teams for each Scale Match edition will be conducted regularly, quarterly, in March, June, September and November. The applications evaluated for the 2nd edition of Scale Match, which will take place on June 22nd-23rd, will be the ones submitted by June 3rd. Another advantage is that all the applications received will be considered for other programs and activities organized by Techcelerator throughout the year.
The first edition of Scale Match focused on solutions in Fintech, AI / ML, on SaaS type products in the growth and raising stage. Due to the large number of applications received for the healthcare industry, as well as to the investment partners focusing on supporting tech innovations in this industry, starting with the 2nd edition of Scale Match, Techcelerator adds the HealthTech vertical to the list of domains served.
"This April, we took the first step toward expanding the scope of Techcelerator services, with our first matching event between startups with some traction and venture capital firms and corporations. We started with Southeast Europe because we want to know and serve the ecosystems in this region. However, the teams outside the region will not be excluded from our programs, if they meet the set criteria. We have received great feedback from our founders and our guests, therefore we have decided to implement our initial plan, which is to organize several editions a year. We want Techcelerator to become the first option for the high tech founders in the Region when it comes to choosing strategic partners for investments or PoC development”, says Cristina Țoncu, Co-Founder & Program Manager Techcelerator.
The program is aimed at companies from 15 countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Moldova.
