Romanian PropTech startup Bright Spaces officially opens a local subsidiary in the UK

PropTech startup Bright Spaces launched its first subsidiary abroad, in the UK. The startup, which creates advanced, end-to-end digital leasing platforms for commercial and residential real estate, already has two clients from the UK.

Bright Spaces is a venture-backed proptech company launched in Romania in 2019. It raised 2 consecutive investment rounds and is already used by more than 5.000.000 sq ft of commercial spaces.

The new subsidiary will soon translate into a local office in London and a local team of experts. The Romanian company thus demonstrates its dedication to servicing this market and its focus on its clients' needs.

In 2021, Bright Spaces signed an agreement with Moorland Property Solutions Ltd. from Manchester and launched the first implementation of their solution in the UK. Now, the team aims to expand its portfolio which currently includes landlords and developers such as: Skanska, One United Properties, Impact Hub, Forte Partners and their first residential client, InteRo Property Development.

Last year, Bright Spaces raised 1,5 million EUR from Axeleo Capital (Lead investor), UK-based VC Pi Labs, Sparking Capital, Growceanu Angel Investment, and a group of international angels. Bright Spaces is also a Pi Labs alumnus, having participated in the VC’ 2020 proptech accelerator. The startup aims to build digital twins for any kind of property, either off-plan or already built, in all real estate verticals.

Commercial and residential landlords choosing this solution will benefit from:

  • A digital brochure showcasing their spaces in 3D, as well as all the important technical information and surrounding areas
  • 3D Web VR Digital Twin of the available space
  • Real-time reports on availability, vacancy, tenant requests
  • Business reporting interface
  • An ESG-oriented marketing & leasing solution

To come closer to its clients, part of the team will be participating in this year’s CREtech London event, and the CEO relocated temporarily to London. Bright Spaces has also recently closed an agreement with BETA, to connect with more potential advisors and clients.

“Through this step, we show our stakeholders and potential customers that we’ve paid close attention to their needs. We are an agile startup and are committed to enhancing our clients’ work, improving the way they market or lease their spaces in a digital world. I’m looking forward to expanding our team and our portfolio in the UK and I am grateful to have the support of our mentors and investors as we achieve this milestone”, says Bogdan Nicoara, CEO & Cofounder Bright Spaces.
