Endeavor Scale Up - the need for the program
Romania’s startup ecosystem is maturing, with a growing number of startups gaining global traction and advancing from Seed to Series A rounds, confirming an active entrepreneurial environment.
“Endeavor Romania Scale Up Program is a natural step ahead for us in increasing the impact on the local ecosystem by offering Endeavor’s expertise to a larger number of Romanian entrepreneurs. The needs of the startups that have achieved local traction, a successful funding round, and are testing their products in regional or global markets are more complex and require a different set of strategies and tools to take them to a different level of development”, says Mihnea Crăciun, Managing Director at Endeavor Romania.
Program overview
Leveraging the network Endeavor has built over the past 27 years in 40+ markets, the founders will have the opportunity to share their challenges with peer entrepreneurs who have scaled globally from other emerging ecosystems, or experienced professionals and investors coming from global enterprises.
The program starts with a comprehensive evaluation of each company's unique challenges and strengths, resulting in a personalized action plan for successful scaling.
Participants will benefit from one-on-one mentorship sessions with top industry experts, investors, and global operators from Endeavor’s extensive network. These sessions are designed to provide practical support on their particular challenges.
The program also includes specialized workshops for the specific needs of the cohort. These workshops will focus on critical areas such as market expansion, access to capital, go-to-market (GTM) strategies or team development, covering all essential aspects of business growth.
Endeavor's Scale Up Program offers multiple networking opportunities, including a kick-off gathering, a two-day in-person boot camp, and access to various Endeavor events. These interactions foster valuable connections and collaborations, enhancing the overall growth experience.

The Program's Lead Partner is UniCredit Bank. Endeavor Scale Up is also facilitated by Endeavor Romania’s local board of directors, which includes companies such as Autonom, Dedeman, Globalworth, Banca Transilvania, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), RTPR, Centrico, and EY.
