The initiative, unique in the Romanian cultural and media landscape, will tell the story of Romanian innovators and how Romanian startups appeared, what are the key moments of their evolution and where are they going.

Romania is an important market not only for the big IT giants that employ locals, but also for young people whose ideas became reality through technology. The start-up.ro documentary "Romanian Startups - Roaring Tigers of Europe" will premiere in December 2023 and will be a deep dive on the path that innovative businesses in Romania have taken until today.

In the last 9 months, the start-up.ro team talked with more than 60 entrepreneurs and investors from Romania and abroad, to try to outline a correct picture of the evolution of the ecosystem.

The documentary produced by start-up.ro and VideoCorp is directed and edited by Florin Cașotă, editor of start-up.ro and Project Manager of VideoCorp, and the scenario is written by Oana Coșman, editor of start-up.ro and editor-in-chief of the Green publication Start-Up.

The launch of the teaser at How to Web was accompanied by a discussion panel that included Bogdan Iordache (Underline Ventures), Ana Crețu (InnovX-BCR), Ana-Maria Andronic (Bravva Angels), Cristian Pațachia (Orange), which debated the way in which the Romanian ecosystem can evolve, what are the opportunities and the path forward.

start-up.ro is one of the most active mediapublications that tells the story of Romanian entrepreneurs, especially those in the area of tech startups.
