“We want to make Open Banking megatrend a leap frogging opportunity for local banks in Central and Eastern Europe. It is one of their chances to be ahead of the pack in digital innovation at the global scale and to serve their local customers. It’s true that nobody knows for sure all the roads of creating value from Open Banking as we are in the pre-history of this revolutionary shift. Our event is an opportunity for the players to collaborate together in learning (banks, fintechs, tech companies and regulators) how to make things happen. We hope they will all understand that supporting innovation to come out from lab to market, through events like Open Banking Hackathon CEE Edition, will accelerate the progress in our financial industry” (Cosmin Cosma, CEO of Finqware, the initiator of this event).

This year, in order to assure the professional organization and project management of this 4 days fintech event, How To Web joined to support the edition.

“We aspire that Open Banking Hackathon to be like an “Eurovision contest” for innovation in Open Banking in the coming years. Our partners are interested to help us make this CEE Edition a big success, in order to lay the foundations for awareness growth of the event in the coming years” added Cosma.
